While I adore photographing wedding days for the incredible couples that hire me, they are inevitably fast paced and it can be difficult to try new things. My friend Lauren (Lauren McDonald Film + Photo) and I have been talking about putting together another styled shoot for what seems like years and finally decided to […]

It’s no surprise that many of us are having to make tough decisions about upcoming events in this uncertain time of this Corona Virus pandemic. Whether it’s birthday parties, baby showers, or wedding days, our initial plans are having to pivot to accommodate both CDC and government recommendations. For brides & grooms who have a […]

Emotional Bride reading her vows to her groom

Kari met Forrestal on Tinder and I knew when I met him at her sister Jill’s wedding, he was a keeper, especially after he planned ahead and had me photograph his proposal! Kari and I are no strangers as she is the mastermind behind the beautiful florals at Petals and Perks! When I photographed her […]

From the moment Tricia initially contacted me about her wedding I knew I was going to love her! She was so sweet, knew what she wanted and visions for an elegant, intimate wedding day. Working around her and her fiancé’s military schedules wasn’t easy but they settled on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, 2018.

Albert and Kayla’s wedding day was one for the books. It was full of laughter, love, and perfect details. We started out the day at Kayla’s parent’s farm near Inwood, IA. Her family’s farm place sat perfectly on top of a hill with breathtaking views of the river and gorgeous landscape as soon as I walked in, I felt right at home.

I first met Lauren when she was a bridesmaid in Mitch and Angela’s New Years Eve Wedding a few months prior and I knew right away she was going to be a blast to work with. Her bubbly personality and radiant smile quickly fills the room!

Another amazing style shoot in the books! This shoot was a blast! When Kari and I were dreaming up a theme for this style shoot we wanted to combine the soft vintage look of dusty blues, champagne pinks, grays, and white with the upcoming modern trend of copper accents. Tucker Hill Vineyard’s barn made a gorgeous venue for the shoot and worked so well with our vision.

I am more than a little late blogging this gorgeous day since it’s been a full year since Austin and Allison’s beautiful day. I thought it was fitting to blog their gorgeous winter wedding since Mother Nature decided to dump another blizzard on us today, one year later. Austin and Allison’s day was one to remember, complete with 18″ of fresh snow! They were such great troopers and still wanted to go outside for some photos and it was SO worth it, even if it meant Allison had to have her hair done twice! 😉 We may have needed all-wheel drive to get around the town of Rock Valley for their photos but they turned out breathtaking!

Graham and Mariah had such a beautiful wedding day! Not only was their day great but they also have an incredible story. The couple first became friends when Graham moved into the house in Mariah’s neighborhood, they were just 2 years old! When they were in fourth grade, Graham moved across town. Fast forward to Junior High and they started dating in the 7th grade. They continued to date through High School and even as they went off to separate colleges but quickly realized the long distance thing wasn’t for them.
