I first met Lauren when she was a bridesmaid in Mitch and Angela’s New Years Eve Wedding a few months prior and I knew right away she was going to be a blast to work with. Her bubbly personality and radiant smile quickly fills the room!
We started the day with the ladies getting ready in the bridal suite at the Hampton Inn in Orange City, IA. I loved how gorgeous all her details looked in here and the perfect light beaming in the window. Lauren and Joe exchanged heartfelt letters to each other that morning in anticipation of seeing each other for the first time!
I met up with a Joe for a few shots of his final details as well and loved his navy suit with black lapels and a bowtie. It was the perfect classy look for him.
Lauren’s dress fit her flawlessly. I couldn’t get enough of her sweet bridesmaids reaction when they saw her in it for the first time! Such a beautiful moment.
Lauren and Joe had their first look and portraits right outside their venue, Prairie Winds Event Center. It made the perfect backdrop for photos. They were both such troopers dealing with the wind and were full of laughter! Could they be any cuter?!
I absolutely loved the girls’ bridesmaid dresses. The cornflower blue color, the adorable ruffles, everything about them was so cute and flattering on all the girls.
These guys don’t look like any fun at all do they?! 😉
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Hospers, IA made a gorgeous location for photos both inside and out! So much character!
How sweet is Joe waiting for his bride?
I loved their simple decor at the reception! Prairie Winds is such a gorgeous space the simple decor was the perfect compliment. Also, can we talk about those cupcakes? YUM!
I love some good wedding party speeches and these did not disappoint. From the jokes about their childhood to the sentimental moments and remembering the grooms late father, the maid of honor and best man nailed it.
Lauren and Joe your wedding day was perfect and your love for each other was obvious. You are both such a joy to be around and I wish you all the best!
